Possibly the saviour of the Detroit Auto Show, Mercedes-Benz and Mclaren team up for the last time in the 2009 Mclaren Stirling Moss. Named after the racing driver, this car is actually not for racing, though it keeps the styling and spirit of its predecessors. This car however does include a lot of new technology and concepts much like the previous Mclarens. Features like “swing wing” doors, manually operable retractable air breaks, and a two piece tonneau cover, which is stored in the trunk, that can cover the cockpit or just the passenger seat. The whole body is made of lightweight carbonfibre and features a 650 hoursepower supercharged 5.5 Litre V8 from the SLR 722. This baby tops out at 217mph and goes 0-100 in just under 3.5 seconds. However this is a very limited release, available only to SLR owners and with only 75 made (numbered chassis), I’m sure these will be gone in a matter of seconds. 3.5 to be exact. And at €750,000 or $1,055,000 I’m not surprised. Hit the jump for more pictures and concept drawings.
