Lance Armstrong has collaborated with Nike Sportswear on a limited collection of sneakers. I suppose this has been a long time coming, but we finally get a closer look at some of these shoes. (more…)

I was reading NME today and came across this awesome looking guitar. It’s called the Abstract Rockingbat and I agree with NME that if Batman shredded, this is what he’d use. Maybe he can use this to control his bat swarm instead of the remote controlled supersonic doohickey device that he used in Batman Begins.
Move over Thor, you’re not the only superhero who shreds metal now.
Due to the complex craftmanship required, Abstract says they won’t likely make more than 25 of them over the next 10 years.

That is all.

Remember that skiing-gun-chase scene in that 007 movie starring Pierce Brosnan a while ago? It was packed with explosions and high speed chases. I remember staring in awe at how he managed to keep his hair perfect coiffed throughout the ordeal while disposing a couple of nameless henchmen in the process! Trust James Bond to manage to look good no matter the circumstance.
In case you’re an aspiring spy (read: backstabber, traitor, betrayer of the motherland) but you’re less awesome at juggling both murder and style at the same time, the developers at POC have just what you need – a set of body hugging armor suits that will allow you to look like a superhero on the slopes.

I guess it was bound to happen… He’s not known as the Louis Vuitton Don for no reason. So he’s working with Louis Vuitton to design 6 shoes, and here’s a sneak peak at one of them. looks pretty clean. Not bad, but the heel of the shoe could use some work. Can’t wait to see what the others will look like. No word yet on coulours… either.

So a complete look at the CLOT x NIKE 1World Air Force 1’s is out. As you may know, CLOT is based in Hong Kong and as such, they felt it was necessary to represent that in their shoe. This shoe is immaculate in its design and intent to show the world the asian culture. The packaging is truly amazing. Likened to Chinese New Year candy boxes, the package includes, instead of candy, several coloured laces in separating segments, and then the shoes. This is what I call product design. Possibly the saviour of the Detroit Auto Show, Mercedes-Benz and Mclaren team up for the last time in the 2009 Mclaren Stirling Moss. Named after the racing driver, this car is actually not for racing, though it keeps the styling and spirit of its predecessors. This car however does include a lot of new technology and concepts much like the previous Mclarens. Features like “swing wing” doors, manually operable retractable air breaks, and a two piece tonneau cover, which is stored in the trunk, that can cover the cockpit or just the passenger seat. The whole body is made of lightweight carbonfibre and features a 650 hoursepower supercharged 5.5 Litre V8 from the SLR 722. This baby tops out at 217mph and goes 0-100 in just under 3.5 seconds. However this is a very limited release, available only to SLR owners and with only 75 made (numbered chassis), I’m sure these will be gone in a matter of seconds. 3.5 to be exact. And at €750,000 or $1,055,000 I’m not surprised. Hit the jump for more pictures and concept drawings.
