With the upcoming Prince of Persia: Sands of Time movie from Disney coming out in May of 2010, Ubisoft is going to to bring out the a new Prince of Persia game as well in May as well called Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands. Not much has been released about the game. All we know is that it will be cell-shaded, like the previous Prince of Persia, and will feature “fan-favorite elements from the original series,” along with some new innovations. Sounds good right? Let’s hope so.

For those who don’t know the first No More Heroes, which was exclusive to the Nintendo Wii, now has found its way to the HD consoles. That’s right No More Heroes: Heroes Paradise, is the original game but coming to HD on both the xBox 360 and the PS3. Sounds exciting. Lets hope they fix some of the problems that was wrong with the first one or add in some more side missions and mini games from the second one or something.

Not Everyone thinks Ubisoft’s New Studio is a Good Thing July 12, 2009

UbisoftDid anyone hear about Ubisoft starting up a new studio in Toronto, Canada? Unfortunely, not everyone thinks that Ubisoft bringing 800 new jobs to Toronto is a good thing.

According to Marcus Gee from Toronto’s Globe and Mail, he thinks that the Canadian government is wasting money on “attracting” gaming companies over to Canada.

That quarter-billion has to come from somewhere, much of it from good Toronto businesses that don’t have the buzz factor to attract an open-collared premier. Their tax burden will rise, and their business will suffer, while the cool kids in the video-game industry collect government cheques.

But nobody’s getting any government cheques here. Ubisoft’s getting $263 million in non-refundable tax credits over ten years, so they’re not receiving any money, they’re just paying less.

At Ubisoft’s keynote today at E3, they debuted Assassin’s Creed II’s NEW cinematic trailer. The graphics look amazing and as usual the art direction and environments are beautiful. Looks like there’s a who bunch of new things you can do now, like paying people to distract your targets and even shooting projectiles too.

Can’t wait to see how this game plays out when it gets released this November for the PS3, Xbox 360 and the PC.

So like everyone else who has played the latest Prince of Persia from Ubisoft, the was obviously lacking gameplay. And the story didn’t even really finish, the end was way to broad. I’d go into more detail but most people probably haven’t even beaten the game yet. But anyways, I guess Ubisoft is following Eidos and releasing content was most likely part of the original game and because of some stupid guy/girl in market said that they wanted to make more money, they are going to make download content for people. FRIGGIN RETARDED.

So anyways, due on February 26, the DLC will serve as an epilogue to the events of the game, along with adding two new player skins, a new boss (though he’s a lazy re-skin), a new area to explore, new moves, a new power move (involving QTEs) and, least importantly, new, incessant dialogue between Elika and the Prince. No word on the price yet so we’ll have to see if it’s actually going to be worth it. There’s also no word if the PC version will get it too, let’s all hope it does.
