For those who don’t know the first No More Heroes, which was exclusive to the Nintendo Wii, now has found its way to the HD consoles. That’s right No More Heroes: Heroes Paradise, is the original game but coming to HD on both the xBox 360 and the PS3. Sounds exciting. Lets hope they fix some of the problems that was wrong with the first one or add in some more side missions and mini games from the second one or something.

Well to get games like Singstar a run for their money, Activision brings out Band Hero to target family. Yes, Activision is going after your children now to suck them into the music instrument genre games. This game will be facing off with Harmonix’s LEGO Rock Band. So yeah, let’s see how it goes.

Despite being the current market leader with more than 51 million units sold, third party games that target core gamers are still not doing so well on Wii.
For this reason, Grasshopper Manufacture CEO Goichi Suda believes that they need to move to another console if they want No More Heroes to evolve into a major franchise.
“I really want to make NMH a big franchise,” Suda said, “and with this second episode have bigger success. I’m putting a lot of care into developing this IP, as I feel there’s a lot of potential.
“I think this is the last NMH that is going to be developed on Wii,” he added. “To expand NMH to new possibilities, we need a new platform. Wii is a great platform, but we’ve done everything we can with it now.”
So that’s it, the next No More Heroes will probably be coming on the PS3 or the xBox 360 or both, but then again you never know, there’s a lot of speculation that the Wii+ (AKA Wii HD) will be coming out in fall 2010. So you never know, but I think that the next No More Heroes will be multiplatform.

Industry analyst Michael Pachter of Wedbush Morgan Securities has a hunch that the Wii will see a price drop by the end of 2009…This due to the fact that, while the system is still pretty much selling like hot-cakes, the Wii supply “has finally exceeded demand.”
Speaking to Edge Online, the Pac-Attack as we loving refer to him as stated that “In order to hit its full-year Wii shipment forecast, we expect Nintendo to cut the price of the Wii before [the] holiday, likely to $199.99.”
Of course this isn’t 100% for sure, but it’ll be interesting to see if this happens because then it will be back in competition with Microsoft for the cheapest console.

Today at GDC ’09 here in San Francisco, Nintendo has finally announced that they are going to be letting user use SD cards as storage devices. The new Wii firmware update (4.0) will allow the Wii to support SDHC, up to 32GB. They are also increase the number of pages of channels you have as well (up to 20). Games will be launched directly from the SD cards so there won’t be a need to copy them or anything.
DS news! There will be a NEW Zelda game coming to the DS THIS YEAR. The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, A little train’s rolling down the tracks, engineered by Link. Visually, it looks very much like Phantom Hourglass.
Other news! Final Fantasy IV is finally making a debut on the Virtual Console! At least this ends the Netflix rumour, about Netflix trying to get the Wii to stream movies or something like that. But it makes me wonder, with this new storage capacity, what will happen to the hacking community?

So since Nintendo is telling Harmonix to go stab themselves about the whole “Wii Hard Drive” issue. Harmonix is now working with SanDisk, and they are going to release Rock Band SD cards, where you simply download the songs to the SD card from the store. This is scheduled to come out in spring sometime for about $13 USD. (Not that bad I suppose). So yay for the Wii owners with Rock Band 2, using the SD slot as an external storage for games, but a hard drive of some sort would be better, c’mon on Nintendo.

Nintendo’s come into a spot of trouble again.
It’s actually the exact same case, but two years after the original lawsuit against their Wiimote wrist straps that were the apparent cause of said Wiimotes becoming embedded into TVs across the nation.
Most people have heard the arguments, and many have voiced their concerns against the people who would fling their Wiimotes so hard that it would actually snap the wrist strap in the first place. However, there will always be those who jump at any sign of sensationalist news, and as long as they exist, courts will be kept busy with lawsuits left, right, and center. Not to say that there isn’t a risk involved, but if everybody is sensible about their wrist-flicking with the Wiimotes, I doubt something like this would have become an issue in the first place.
